Senior Activities

STAY FIT AND ACTIVE AT THE RFC

The RFC has everything you need to stay active at any age!

Group Fitness Classes

  • Sunrise Splash  - (Located in the Recreation Pool) Aqua class designed for the deconditioned and aging population.  Join us in our warm water pool for a low-impact work out that is gentle on your joints to improve agility and flexibility.  You will use a variety of aqua fitness tools to increase overall strength, balance and coordination.  No swimming ability required!

  • Dance Fitness - Get groovin’ at your own pace! This easy-to-follow class lets you move to the beat at your own speed. It’s an invigorating, community-oriented dance-fitness class that feels fresh, and most of all, exhilarating! These classes provide modified, low-impact moves for active older adults.

  • Seated Yoga - Yoga for the deconditioned and aging population.  You will move through a series of seated and standing yoga postures using a chair for support as needed to improve strength, coordination, balance and flexibility.

  • Seated Strength & Cardio - A class designed for the deconditioned and aging population using hand held weights, exercise tubing, balls and a chair. You will increase muscle strength and range of movement, while improving cardiovascular and muscular endurance and power.

Facilities

  • Recreation Pool: A warm water pool with a temperature above 85 degrees Fahrenheit.  This pool is perfect for anyone with any joint or bone issues. 

  • Walking Track: Our suspended walking track allows for anyone to walk or run in a controlled environment.  

  • Weight Room: The weight room has treadmills, ellipticals, bikes and free weights that allow you to exercise at your pace.
